The Following Items Are All Recyclable:
Aerosol Cans
- Recycle with steel cans in an AlleyCat recycling trailer
- Recycle as scrap metal at the Knox County Recycling Center
Aluminum Beverage Cans
- Rinse cans thoroughly
- Flatten can to save space
- Recycle with steel cans in an AlleyCat recycling trailer
- Recycle at the Knox County Recycling Center
Aluminum Foil
- Rinse/remove all food residue
- Place with aluminum beverage cans
- Recycle at the Knox County Recycling Center
Appliances
- Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, dishwashers, dryers,
freezers, hot water tanks, irons, microwaves, ovens, ranges, refrigerators, toasters, trash compactors, VCR’s, washers – Recycle as scrap metal at the Knox County Recycling Center.
- A $10.00 fee is charged for the removal of Freon from air conditioners, dehumidifiers, freezers and refrigerators.
Bags - Brown Paper Bags
- Recycle with cardboard in an AlleyCat recycling trailer
- Recycle with cardboard at the Knox County Recycling Center
Batteries - Automobile
- Accepted free of charge at the Knox County Recycling Center
Cardboard, Pasteboard and Boxes
- Flatten material for easier handling
- Recycle in an AlleyCat recycling trailer
- Recycle at the Knox County Recycling Center
Catalogs - (Small catalogs only)
- Must be printed on glossy paper, recycle loosely
- Recycle with magazines in an AlleyCat recycling trailer
- Recycle with paper at the Knox County Recycling Center
Computer and Computer Items
- Accepted free of charge at the Knox County Recycling Center
Hydraulic Oil - Used
- Do not mix with other types of products
- Accepted free of charge at the Knox County Recycling Center
Glass - Blue, Clear, and Green Bottles and Jars
- Throw away caps and lids
- Rinse clean
- Drop gently into container to avoid breakage
- Recycle in an AlleyCat recycling trailer
- Recycle at the Knox County Recycling Center
Newspaper - Newspaper Inserts and Computer Paper
- Recycle loosely in paper containers
- Recycle in an AlleyCat recycling trailer or in the adjacent Abitibi Paper Retriever Bin

Magazines
- Recycle loosely in containers

Motor Oil - Used
- Do not mix with other types of products

- Cans must be free of all paint products

Plastics - #1 Pete - Food and Beverage Containers
- Remove all liquids and rinse clean.

Plastics - #2 HDPE - Laundry Supplies

- Televisions or Monitors up to 32 inches except consoles
- Recycle at Best Buy Stores: Columbus, Heath and Mansfield, Ohio
- Charge: $10 per unit - maximum of 2 units per day
- Receive a $10 Best Buy Gift Card in exchange for the fee
