TO PROPERLY DISPOSE OF PAINT:

Download District Flyer
  • In a well-ventilated area; air dry paint away from children and pets.
  • Add an absorbent material, such as shredded newspaper, kitty litter or sawdust. (Home improvement stores sometimes sell an inexpensive paint hardener.)
  • Allow to dry completely.
  • Throw the dried paint away with your trash.
  • If the paint has solidified in a closed can; take off the lid and dispose of the paint in your regular trash.

DONATE "GOOD" LEFTOVER PAINT

Most local community groups, art organizations, schools and churches usually appreciate "good" leftover paint and you may even be able to get a tax deduction.
Check with your nearest Habitat for Humanity ReStore to see if they willing to accept leftover paint.
