HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES ARE ACCEPTED DAILY AT THE KNOX COUNTY RECYCLING CENTER DURING NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION, WHICH ARE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8 A.M. - 4 P.M. All of the following household appliances are accepted for recycling: Air Conditioners Dehumidifiers Dishwashers Dryers Freezers Hot Water Tanks Irons Microwaves Ovens Ranges Refrigerators Toasters Trash Compactors VCR's Washers As of May 1, 2011 computers are no longer accepted at the Knox County Recycling Center. Please check Computer Recycling for the next scheduled computer collection event.
