MOUNT VERNON – Knox County Prosecuting Attorney John C. Thatcher today announced the hiring of Charles T. (Chip) McConville as an assistant prosecuting attorney. A native of Dayton, Ohio, McConville graduated with honors from Capital University Law School in May and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November.
“I am pleased to welcome Chip to our staff,” Thatcher said. “He will be primarily responsible for juvenile prosecutions, along with a variety of other matters.”
While in law school, McConville served as an associate editor of the Capital University Law Review and worked as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Ohio Attorney General’s office. Prior to law school, McConville worked in government affairs at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce for nine years. He also worked as a legislative aide and press secretary in the Ohio House of Representatives. He holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Chip and his wife, Kimberly, and son, Curran, reside in Mount Vernon.
