Allen Stockberger (Bio)
A lifelong resident of central Ohio, Allen
Stockberger has enjoyed a life of public service and leadership, dating back to his youth in 4-H and FFA.
He began his political career in 1977 when elected as a Howard Township Trustee. Since his election to the Board of Commissioners in 1992, Mr. Stockberger has demonstrated a strong voting record against new taxes and has helped secure grant funding for various projects such as the Bridge of Dreams at Brinkhaven and three timber bridge projects through the USDA Division of Forestry. Funding was obtained for the Countryside Manor Wastewater Improvement Project in Centerburg and the Knox County Jail Complex, as well as the Heart of Ohio Trail.
He currently serves on the R.S.V.P. Advisory Board, Fair Housing Board, Ohio Public Works Commission - Issue 2, and the Investment Board.
Mr. Stockberger also has a passion for short term mission trips and has traveled to Central and South America to participate in several projects.
He and his wife, Deena, operate a farm in Howard and Harrison Townships where they produce, popcorn, tofu soybeans and specialty wheat. The Stockbergers have two adult sons, Joshua and Jason, and one granddaughter, Trinity.
